is it like verboten now to write comments on the actual reblog?

i’ve seen posts to that effect like “that’s what tags are for”

and it’s like no, tags are for tagging, just because that’s where i also happen to write epic novels that’s not their original function

but now i feel weirdly guilty when i write a comment on the actual reblog?

like i’m doing tumblr wrong?
